Doug,

We've seen these warnings as well, and as far as we can tell, they are
harmless. The g77/gfortran folks seem to be aware of this issue, and
hopefully they'll have a fix someday.

It hasn't affected us being able to run NCL on our systems, so I think
you should be okay.
