RE: [ncl-install] installation problem with gcc 4.4.1

Sorry for missing that vital information:

ncl_ncarg-5.1.1.Linux_i686_opendap_gcc412.tar.gz

Which had the highest gcc version in the opendap enabled section, but, I
have just noticed there is a binary for gcc 4.3.2 without opendap
enabled:

ncl_ncarg-5.1.1.Linux_i686_gcc432.tar.gz - and this appears to work.

I would like to use opendap eventually - is the opendap enabled version
of the above binary likely to be available in the next 3-6 months?

Exactly which binary did you download? It will be much easier for you if
we can find a binary that works, instead of trying to build from source
code.

When I try to execute bin/ezmapdemo I get this response:

bin/ezmapdemo: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.1:

Turning to the self install, after configuration I run make all install
>& make-output

The first error I can find in make-output is the following:

Some of these include files are in the distribution, just not in the
path of this particular compile statement, but I cannot find the nioc.h
file anywhere.
