how to make my regular user to write and execute MCL scripts in centos machine

hi,
As a root user I can write and execute NCL scripts in my centos
machine.I also tried same tasks as a regular user but it didnot.
for regular user,
[atmos_stud@ localhost Deskto]$ ng4ex gsun01n
path to directory (root)not found [environment variable not set]
