ncdf = addfile (filename, "r") ; The file is a standard CCM3 output.
var!0 = "lat"
var!1 = "lon"
var&lat = ncdf&lat
var&lon = ncdf&lon
plot = gsn_csm_contour_map_ce(wks,var,res)
; ncdf&lat = (/-87.8638 ...87.8638/)
; ncdf&lon = (/0....357.1875/)
