L, if you already have a pressure array, and your
Temperature data is on pressure levels, then you can
skip the first part where we convert T from hybrid to pressure levels and
just calculate potential temperature using your pressure array
e.g.
theta = T_on_pressure_levels*(100000/pressure_array)^0.286
the rest should be the same.
