Hi Beth,

This may not be a solution to the problem, but only a comment on the usage
of gsm_csm_xy2. I may be wrong, but gsm_csm_xy2 is used when you need to
display the different axes - it is somewhat odd to suppress the
axes labels!

Since you are not going to show the axes labels, it may be more
appropriate to normalize the data (say by dividing by the standard
deviation of each time series) and then to plot it with gsn_csm_xy.
I am attaching a modified version of the code, that may address your
issue (please see attachment)
