Hi Hamish.

The gsn_csm_contour_map_polar routine is a specialized routine
for generating circular polar stereographic projections.

To get a rectangular stereograph projection, use gsn_csm_contour_map
and set mpProjection to "Stereographic". By default, then, you will
get a rectangular stereographic projection.

This one also uses the "corners" method to zoom in on the map.
