Regrid T62 data to POP grid

Hi, girls and boys,

Is there anyone who has regrided T62 NCEP Reanalysis data to data with POP grid, for instant, gx3 ? There is no weight and grid files for T62 on the site: http://www.earthsystemgrid.org/. Should I regrid the T62 data to T42 data at first? Are there any examples? Thanks.
