Hello NCL team.

I need to read a 4.6 Gb direct access Fortran binary file in NCL.
The web page for fbindirread indicates that this will be possible
only in the next NCL release.

http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/fbindirread.shtml

Would it be easy to provide me with a pre release version of
4.2.0.a035 with fbindirread working correctly for large files?

I note the caution about variables larger than 2 Gb. That will not
be a problem, as my file is broken into time steps.

I need a version for Mac OS:

mac56:~ 31> uname -a
Darwin mac56.cdc.noaa.gov 8.8.0 Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.0: Fri Sep
  8 17:18:57 PDT 2006; root:xnu-792.12.6.obj~1/RELEASE_PPC Power
Macintosh powerpc

Thanks in advance.
