How to turn on grids for a time-period contour map?

Hi, all

    We know that NCL can turn on grid lines in a Lon/Lat contour map by using res_at_mpGridAndLimbOn,
But how could we get a similar grid lines for a time-period contour map (as seen from the attached pdf file)?
