bar over string to gsn_add_text

Hi,

I am adding text to a figure with gsn_add_text. Is there a way to get a
bar over portions of the text? I do not see this capability mentioned in
the documentation on function codes. I'm trying to indicate that I'm
taking the mean of an expression without taking the space to spell out
the word mean.
