Greetings NCL users,
We are pleased to announce that the next version of NCL (V4.3.0) will
be released mid-April, and is available *now* for testing. (See
below.) We especially are looking for testers for the new GRIB2
reader.
Note the new version number: this version contains several new features,
and we decided to move away from the tired "4.2.0.a0xx" scheme.
Here are some of the major features:
- GRIB2 reader
- Updates to GRIB1 reader: important to know about
- New "where" function
- Two-dimensional forward/backward Fourier transform routines
- Two cumulative sum routines
- New graphics routines "gsn_contour_shade" and "gsn_table"
- Twelve new color tables
A full description of the new features and functionality in version
4.3.0 can be found at:

If you'd like to be a tester, send me a personal email and include the
information about your system (output from "uname -a" and version of
"gcc" if you are using this).
