NCL on CYGWIN: RAM Question

I am currently running NCL on a Windows XP machine under CYGWIN. The
machine is a 2.8GHz PIV with 512Mb RAM. I am planing on increasing the
RAM, but am unsure of what to increase it to, not wanting to waste money on
RAM I don't need. Probably the most memory intensive work envision would
involve trying to create a NCL file of roughly 100 8560x183 arrays.

Any thoughts?
