I'm downloading the NCL for use in a windows environment. To do this, I
had to first download the cygwin/X.
I downloaded the xorg-x11-base package only. I have questions regarding
the following sections described in the cygwin/x setup page.
5. Set up your environment to run NCL
Is this step necessary for me since I downloaded the xorg-x11-base
package only? If so, I located four different bashrc files, located in
the following folsers:
"bash.bashrc" C:\cygwin\etc
".bashrc" C:\cygwin\etc\skel
"bash.bashrc" C:\cygwin\etc\defaults\etc
".bashrc" C:\cygwin\etc\defaults\etc\skel
Which file do I modify?
The instructions say to insert the export lines after the last reference
to PATH. In the ".bashrc" files, I can only find one reference to PATH,
which follows:
# export PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH
Do I insert the export statements after that? Do I need to include #
characters prior to each export statement?
Also, I'm not sure if I'm going to use C-Shell. Do I need to set up
C-Shell as indicated in step 6?
Thank you,
