New user... plot configurations

I've been playing with the various wrf scripts and have come upon a
couple of questions. I'd appreciate any help to get me up and
running... as most all of us would like... as soon as possible.

1. Is there a simple way to tell NCL to place the color ramp legend to
the right side of the image?
2. Is there any way to dictate the size of the image?
3. What about convincing NCL to use a landscape mode and optimally fit?

I'll likely have other questions, as I read and learn more.
