A quick vector plot question

('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) When drawing vector plots in NCL (specifically in this case using
gsn_csm_vector_scalar_map() ), do the arrow tails or the arrow heads
correspond to the gridpoints which they represent.

Or, to put it another way, do the arrows point into, or way from, the
relevant gridpoint.

I am using the "CurlyVector" glyph style in case that has any bearing.
