vertical cross-section of wind

Hi,
I am failing in plotting a windfield into a vertical-cross section. To get the
cross-section of a parameter I use int2p in order to interpolate on new
z-levels. Then I interpolate using linint2_points onto my new line. I also
interpolate the horizontal wind components u,v onto this line and calculate my
new cross-section-parallel wind u_new. Then I use gsn_csm_vector to overlay
vectors of u_new and vertical velocity into the plot.
The resulting wind field appears strange! Only horizontal vectors are plotted.
(scaling w didn't help out aswell).

Could anyone please help out?
