Hi Guangshan,

Thanks for reporting a work-around for this problem. We've been aware
of this weird g95 quirk, but in the past I was unable to find a
work-around for it. As you mentioned, the compiler is working, but
those messages are annoying. I don't think building NCL with this
option is going to solve the problem. Rather, we would need to add that
option to WRAPIT.

You can try this yourself. Edit the file $NCARG_ROOT/bin/WRAPIT (you
might want to make a copy of it and edit the copy instead), and change
any occurrence of:

         set f90c = g95

to
         set f90c = g95 -fno-pic
