Env Var in GALE

Hi all,

I had a doubt regarding the environmental variables to be set for the gale server.
for example

we set
setenv NCARG_ROOT /usr/local
setenv NCARG_ROOT /contrib
for the tempest server. do we need to do anything similar for the gale server
