Mr. Shea,
   I learned about the algorithm of natural neighbor interpolation today. It takes a good job of interpolating randomly-spaced scalar to another grid.
 However, I'm not sure it will perform vector interpolation well. After all, vector interpolation differs from scalar. thanks!
