error installing ncl_ncarg5.0

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install ncl_ncarg5.0 in my laptop and did all the steps
required (setted the NCARG_ROOT variable and path, etc.). But when I run
ncl it doesn't work. It says that bash can't execute the binary file. I
don't know what might be happen?! I've setted ncl directory as "/opt/NCL"
and un-tar the files on that directory. Firstly I thought it could be a
problem with linux distribuition (ubuntu 8.04), but I've used ncl with
this distribuition before and it worked well?!
