   printVarSummary(slp)

   system("/bin/rm -f foo.nc")
   aout = addfile("foo.nc", "c")
   aout->SLP = slp
   aout->U10 = u10
   aout->V10 = v10

You will likely have to add more ... like the time
and XAT/XLONG
