Folks,

A heads on what the problem was here, since the error message wasn't
very useful. The Fortran code had "C NCLFORTSTAT" instead of "C
NCLFORTSTART", causing the *.so to not be built correctly.

I will see if we can improve this so that the error message is more
useful.
