Question on gradsf

Dear ncl-talk,

With regards to the 'gradsf' function, an you tell me whether you are
defining the gradient with the minus "-del" or "+del" operator? I'm
asking because some sources (AMS glossary) define the gradient with a
negative del operator, while others (Holton) define it with a positive
del operator. I just want to make sure.
