function z2geouv

Good morning

A simple question. What type of finite difference is used to compute the
geostrophic wind when using the function z2geouv? In other words, if the
geopotential heights are defined on a 2.5 degree lat/lon grid, would u and v
be valid on the same grid or at the midpoint between these points?
