Whenever you want to know about gsn* resources,
please look at the gsn resource page

I don't think you can set the font of 'just' gsnLeftString.

gsnStringFont
     If any of gsnLeftString, gsnCenterString, or gsnRightString are
set, this resource controls the font of these strings.

     Default: dynamic
