A comment:

The procedure write_matrix() does not
like it when the first argument is a
1D vector (not a 2D matrix).

It would be nice to add an attribute
to "opt" to tell write_matrix whether
to print 1D vectors as row or column
matrices (and also to have there be
a default behaviour, which would
probably be to consider a 1D vector
to be a column vector as is assumed
in linear algebra when writing "x",
where "x^T" is a row vector).

Thanks, Bruce
