calculate omega in reanalysis

Dear NCL users,
I wonder is there any function to calculate omega (dp/dt) by vertically
integrating the continuity equation using reanalysis data (e.g. NCEP or
ERA40)? I searched the NCL website and find that the function
"omega_ccm_driver" can be used to calculate omega in NCAR model, but it uses
hybrid levels while only p-level reanalysis data are available.
