(I don't believe anyone has responded to you yet..)
Have you tried using the wrf_interp_2d_xy?
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/wrf_interp_2d_xy.shtml
or if you needed to interpolate to pressure
surfaces wrf_usr_intrp3d?
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/WRF_arw/wrf_user_intrp3d.shtml

There are also a number of cross section
examples on WRF's NCL page:

If the above doesn't help, if you could explain
a bit further about what isn't working,
including attaching your script and letting us
know of any error messages, that would be great.
