vertical velocity vectors on vertical cross sections

Hello,

How do I put rows of vertical velocity vectors (up and down arrows)
every 100 hPa on a vertical cross section (pressure vs longitude plot)
using a wrfout_d01 file?

I see h_lat_7.ncl example. Is this applicable for wrfout files? If
so, why are the coefficients needed here? Why does the vinth2p
variable need 9 parameters?
