Hi

          I am using the above function to calculate cape for a single
sounding.
          I am getting -0.1 for my cape values for all my 3000+ soundings.
          Not sure what was not correctly assigned.

         I had interpolated my soundings to N levels (N<150) since the
raw soundings has number of levels greater than what the ccode can handle.
         I had p, t, q and alt in teh correct units for N levels. The
first level of each of the variables were given the values corresponding
to the first level of the raw soundings. p monotonically with height and
alt increases monotonically with height. psfc corresponds to p(0) and
zsfc corresponds to alt(0).

         cinfo=wrf_3d_cape(p, t, q, alt, zsfc, psfc, False)
         cape=cinfo(0,0)
         cin=cinfo(1,0)

           I only choose the first element because I only need the CAPE
calculated from lifting a parcel from surface.

            Hope someone can point out to me what I had not done correctly.

Agnes
