Hui,

There are several binaries for Linux x86_64 systems, and potentially,
any one of them should probably work.

If you don't need OPeNDAP capabilities, then I recommend downloading
a non-OPeNDAP version.

To determine which binary to download, find out what version of gcc
you have on your system:

    gcc --version

and then select the version of NCL that has closest to this version
of gcc or *earlier*.

The possible versions are:

NCL 5.1.1 64-bit binary for x86_64 chips for LINUX (compiled with
gcc 3.3.0)
NCL 5.1.1 64-bit binary for x86_64 chips for LINUX (compiled with
gcc 4.1.2)
NCL 5.1.1 64-bit binary for x86_64 chips for LINUX (compiled with
gcc 4.2.2)
NCL 5.1.1 64-bit binary for x86_64 chips for LINUX (compiled with
gcc 4.3.2)

For example, if your gcc reports 4.2.3, then I would use:

NCL 5.1.1 64-bit binary for x86_64 chips for LINUX (compiled with
gcc 4.2.2)
