Quick Question about Reading NCEP Stage IV Data in NCL, Thanks!

 
 Dear All,

 I have a question on reading NCEP Stage IV data.

 The data was downloaded from the following link
 http://data.eol.ucar.edu/codiac/dss/id=21.093

 Please find an example data, attached to this E-mail.

 These data have an extension name as .Z, does anybody know how to read it
in NCL?

 Any input will be appreciated,
