finding the 2PVU surface

Hello,

I am trying to interpolate wind, potential temperature to the dynamic
tropopause, defined as the 2 PVU surface. The potential vorticity is
not monotonically increasing with height and the interpolation functions
in NCL give me a lot of missing values. Can anyone suggest how to
interpolate to the 2PVU surface using NCL?
