ut_inv_calendar issue using ncl 5.2.1 on linux

Hello,

I have just installed ncl 5.2.1 (ncl_ncarg-5.2.1.Linux_x86_64_gcc412), and am having a ut_inv_calendar issue similar to those reported originally in 5.2.0.

[snesbitt@manabe-i4]$ uname -a
Linux manabe-i4 2.6.18-164.6.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue Nov 3 16:12:36 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

fatal:Execute: Error occurred at or near line 111 in file climogen_xsectuS.ncl

my $UDUNITS variable is not set
[snesbitt@manabe-i4]$ env | grep UDUNITS
[snesbitt@manabe-i4]$

I tried setting/unsetting UDUNITS2_XML_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the suggested value to no avail.
