Using same contour interval for multiple inputs

Hi,

I am trying to automate a script that will create animation of certain variables produced by a WRF simulation. I want to be able to have each image contain the same contour interval. I realize that I can specify "Contourparameters", but at the time of the animation I will not have the max, min, or interval to specify. Is there a simple way of doing this? Or do I need to write code to enter the WRF output data and determine the max/min for a given variable throughout the simulation window?
