Dear Shinn,

you may use function "linit1"
(http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/linint1.shtml) and
"linit1_n"
(http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/linint1_n.shtml) to
interpolate 1st data set to 2nd data set using piecewise linear
interpolation across the longitude before calculating correlation.
