vector color spreading

Hello
I am using the interface *gsn_csm_vector_scalar ,* i wanna to control the
start and end of the color , i used the resources *gsnspreadcolorstart *and
*gsnspreadcolorstart *but it give me the following erros

*warning:gsnspreadcolorstart is not a valid resource in wind_vector at this
time*
*warning:gsnspreadcolorend is not a valid resource in wind_vector at this
time*

how can i control the colors ??
