Mi,

You have a 32-bit system, so you don't want to download a binary with "x86_64" in the name.

You usually want to download a binary that was compiled with a version of the compiler that is equal to or smaller than the one you have. We don't have any NCL binaries compiles with gcc 4.1.0, and the closest we have is 4.1.2, so try this binary to start: "ncl_ncarg-5.2.1.Linux_Debian_i686_gcc412.tar.gz"
