Question about eofunc and missing data.

Hi all,

I am trying to understand more fully how NCL's "eofunc" function deals with
missing data when computing EOFs. I am performing a spatial EOF calculation
using a particular pcrit value, which I understand controls how much missing
data at a single point is acceptable.

My question is, if a point is considered "missing" and excluded from the EOF
does this affect how many observations are used at other points? I think
what I am asking is does "eofunc" work listwise or pairwise?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Gina.
