Question about adding Annotations in Panel plots

Dear NCL-users,

I have a problem in adding an annotation to my panel plots.

I know we can use ‘gsn_add_annotation’ to add an annotation to a single plot (like fig.1 in the attachment). However, when I try to use this function in my panel plots that I want to add annotation in each of subplots in it (like fig.2 in the attachment), the NCL tells me that the plot already have an annotation.

If anybody knows how to do this, please let me know.
