betainc function

Hi,

I am using the betainc function in order to determine probabilities for
t-Student values derived from a regCoef.
I don't understand how the parameter x (*betainc*(x,a,b) ) should be
changed. I couldn't find an answer among previous inquiries.

In the examples
(http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/Built-in/betainc.shtml) it
is always set to be equal 0.5, is this related to 95% of confidence?
What should I put if I want a 99% of confidence?
