Contour Lines Erase Geopolitical Boundaries

Dear NCL,

With
res@cnFillOn = True and
res@cnLinesOn = False,
the attached script produces "anomaly_v1.ps" (attached). When I simply
change the settings to
res@cnFillOn = False and
res@cnLinesOn = True,
the script instead produces "anomaly_v2.ps" (also attached). Where did
the geopolitical boundaries go during this process? Any advice would be
much appreciated.
