Ipsita,

The version that is being echoed by your NCL indicates you are still using the old one.It should echo something like:

6.1.0-17Sep2012_1431

Also, "ncl_filedump" is referencing "ncl", and not "ncl.445.fix". Did you actually rename "ncl.445.fix" to "ncl"?
You will need to do this before using ncl_filedump or ncl_convert2nc.
