Finite element mesh ONLY no countour

Dear all,
I have found many examples how to make contour plots on the
unstructured i.e finite element grids but if I want to plot only mesh
(lines bw, no contours) there is no example showing that.
I suppose there is old fashioned way of defining polygons as triangles
but think possibly there is a better way of doing it.
