PopLatLonV error message

My program makes the following call:

  remap = PopLatLonV(davU,davV,"gx3v5","T42","bilin","da","040122")

which produces the following error message:

create_rmpPopFileName: /glade/proj3/cseg/mapping/maps/map_gx3v5_to_T42_bilin_da_040122.nc
ls: rot_*: No such file or directory
create_rotPopFileName: file not recognized/found: rot_gx3v5.nc
create_rotPopFileName: dir searched: ./

I have done the following before running this program:

setenv NCL_POP_REMAP /glade/proj3/cseg/mapping/maps

What else is needed here?
