wrf_helicity question

Hi,

I'm interested to know how the storm motion vector is calculated, or what
assumption is made, for the storm relative helicity function (wrf_helicity)
used in WRFUserARW.ncl. Is it calculated from the mean storm steering wind
plus a fixed deviation? In the documentation it says it is set for right
moving storms. I'm wanting to calculate for left moving storms (in the
southern hemisphere). Is there a way to do this without writing my own
function?

Cheers,

Paul
