how to change the lat-lon coordinate to distance coordinate

Hello,
 I am using wrfout data to draw horizontal and vertical cross section figures. As the default setting, the coordinate used lat-lon coordinate, but now I want to change it to distance coordinate (km), how can I do? thank you very much in advance.
