Calculating EOFS

Hi All

I want to create eofs doing mainly 3 things before which are:

  1. Calculate monthly anomalies
  2. Normalise the anomalies by dividing by SD on the anomalies at each point (I.e. Convert to z-scores)
  3. Calculate EOFs on the D-J-F data (not DJF mean)

I am battling with point 3 as the eof examples generally choose a season but I want to select each month of DJF individually, any help about how to do that?
