I don¡¯t understand your code. For time axis label, I usually use the following codes:
times = wrf_times_c(stringtochar(Times),0)
time_axis_labels(times,res,restick)
plot = gsn_csm_xy(wks,times,pbl,res)
Times has to be in ¡°2013-04-05_12:00:00¡± format.
